<p>PURPOSE: To provide a developing device capable of preventing irregularities in a brushing mark caused by the rubbing of a magnetic brush and the increase in the fogging degree of a nonimage, while maintaining the advantages of high developability by a counter developing system, etc. CONSTITUTION: This developing devirp is of a counter developing system for carrying a two-component developer 19 on a developing sleeve 11 incorporating a magnet 121 toward a developing part by a movement in a direction opposite to that of a photoreceptor drum 1, to form the magnetic brush of the developer 19 in the developing part and develop an electrostatic latent image on the drum 1. A rotatable electrode 21 which is in proximity to the developing sleeve 11 and the drum 1, in a state of non-contact with them and brought into contact with the developer 19 on the sleeve 11 is installed in a position nearer to the upstream side of the developing part, in the moving direction of the sleeve 11 and at the time of developing, an alternating voltage obtained by superimposing an alternating current and a direct current is applied to the electrode 21. Thus, toner stuck to the nonimage part of the drum 1 can be removed and further, the toner ununiformly stuck to the latent image on the drum 1 can be faithfully rearranged on the latent image, to achieve the aim.</p> |
