PURPOSE: To provide an image processor capable of omitting labor for the preparation of raster data, improving the hit rate of cache data and highly accurately and quickly painting out a polygon by efficiently utilizing a cache mechanism. CONSTITUTION: The image processor is provided with a polygon rasterizing means 300 for finding out a picture element position inside a polygon and converting the position into raster data on a discrete coordinate system, a cache data storing means 301 for storing raster data, a derived polygon generating means 302 for generating plural kinds of derived polygons in which a distance between the coordinate values of respective vertex coordinates of a certain polygon and that of a reference original polygon is smaller than the shortest distance between coordinates on the descrete coordinate system, and a cache data retrieving means 303 for retrieving the raster data of a congruent polygon which is congruent with the original polygon. |
