PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for drastically reducing elution quantity of lead in low cost in the use of a piping instrument made of a copper alloy containing lead, compared to a conventional standard. SOLUTION: The piping instrument for a valve, pipe joint or the like is characterized by employing a copper alloy containing, by wt.%, 59.0-62.0% Cu, 0.5-4.5% Pb, 0.05-0.25% P, 0.5-2.0% Sn, 0.05-0.30% Ni, and the balance with Zn and unavoidable impurities, and having the surface layer at least a contacting part with liquid of the equipment parts, from which the lead is removed by means of cleaning with an acid-containing cleaning solution, and which is made resistant to dezincification.
