PURPOSE: To protect a magnetic tape and a tape reel from an impact both in a horizontal direction and in a vertical direction. CONSTITUTION: A pair of reel fixing mechanisms 41 restricting the movement of a video tape cassette 1 in directions of arrows (c), (d) along axes P of a pair of tape reels 11 and a direction of an arrow (e) at right angles to the axes P are provided to be inserted in reel mount engaging holes 141 of the pair of tape reels 11 in the video cassette 1 contained in a storage case 21 consisting of a case body 22 and an upper case cover 23.
