PURPOSE: To obtain a cataplasm preparation having histamine liberation- suppressive action and antihistaminic action, and excellent in the sustainability of the percutaneous absorbability and medicinal virtues of emedastine useful as an antiallergic agent. CONSTITUTION: This cataplasm preparation having a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer containing (A) an acrylic polymer virtually free from acid residue (pref. carboxyl group), pref. a copolymer made from (i) 2-ethylhexyl acrylate and (ii) at least one kind of monomer selected from hydroxyethyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, 2-methoxyethyl acrylate, vinyl acetate and vinylpyrrolidone and (B) emedastine. The amount of the emedastine to be formulated in the adhesive layer is, based on the whole dry weight of the layer, 0.1-30 (pref. 0.5-20, more pref. 2-10)wt.%. It is preferable that the thickness of the adhesive layer be 10-200μm.
