<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a developer excellent in releasability, blocking resistance and fixability at the time of low energy fixation, not causing offsetting phenomenon and capable of preventing the contamination of a carrier, a photoreceptor, a heating roll, etc., by using an ethylene copolymer having a specified compsn. and a specified mol.wt. as wax to be added to an electrostatic toner. CONSTITUTION: This developer contains ethylene copolymer wax (A) made of a copolymer of ethylene with at least one of unsatd. carboxylic acid and unsatd. carboxylic ester and having 90-99.9mol% ethylene unit content and a number average mol.wt. Mn of 300-8,000, a binder (B) and a colorant (C). The ethylene unit content of the wax A is preferably 92-99mol% and the number average mol.wt. Mn of the wax A is preferably 500-6,000, more preferably 500-4,000. The mol.wt. distribution (Mw/Mn) is usually 2.0-6.0 and the crystallinity is usually 10-55%.</p> |
