PURPOSE: To provide a vehicular gas detection device capable of allowing the passage of the air through a filter, regardless of the ingress of moisture therein, and accurately detecting the concentration of gases. CONSTITUTION: A gas detection device 1 has a filter 10 in an air passage 22 where the fresh air flows, and a gas sensor 11 is laid above the filter 10. The passage 22 has a fresh air introduction passage 15 with an opening area maximum at an air intake port 15a open to the front of a case 8, and gradually reduced toward an internal section. Also, a maze structure for causing an air flow to meander is provided above the passage 15. Furthermore, the upper side 10a of the filter 10 is wholly pressed with a filter presser 18, and the lower side 10b thereof partly pressed with a presser rib 19. In other words, the lower edge 10d and lower side 10b of the filter 10 are used as an inflow ventilation side, and the upper edge 10c thereof as an outflow ventilation side. |
