PURPOSE: To provide a method capable of collecting an attached microorganism in various fields such as medical treatment, food and environment including monitoring of nosocomial infection, having high efficiency and low variability, being carried out without contaminating a target from which a microorganism is collected and shortening a time up to identification at a low cost. CONSTITUTION: A target point from which an attached microorganism is collected is covered with a sheet 1 having a window 2 of a fixed size and the interior of the window opening part of the sheet is wiped with a properly wetted wiping member 4. The wiping member having the attached microorganism is housed in a closable container 8 packed with a selective proliferation medium for the microorganism and the microorganism is primarily cultured.
