PURPOSE: To provide a thin sealed battery that is excellent in safety and reliability by preventing the deflection of a portion of the thin battery near the boundary between an approximately rectilinear portion and a curved portion. CONSTITUTION: After plates 2 are inserted into a case 1, bridging plates 4 including that to which a negative lead 6 is joined are spot-welded near the boundary between an approximately rectilinear portion and a curved portion, and the opening of the case 1 is caulked.
