PURPOSE: To provide a energy saving type power steering gear to reduce the drive torque of a pump for minimizing power consumption when the steering gear is not steered. CONSTITUTION: In a steering gear provided with a pump 3 for supplying working oil to a power cylinder circuit 2 to assist the steering of the steering gear 19, and a flow rate control section 4, the flow rate control section is provided with a first orifice section 7 having a fixed opening for determining the minimum flow rate supplied to the power cylinder circuit 2, second orifice section 8 provided in parallel to the first orifice section 7 to change the opening in response to the load pressure of the power steering gear and a flow rate control valve 6 to control the flow rate to the orifice section. |
