HIGHLY TRANSPARENT FLAME-RETARDANT FILM MATERIAL, EXTERIOR WALL MATERIAL, ROOFING MATERIAL AND AGRICULTURAL HOUSE

PURPOSE: To obtain a highly transparent flame-retardant film material which retains various features of a vinyl chloride resin sheet, satisfies the requirement for both excellent flame retardancy and excellent transparency, and is excellent also in stainproofness by compounding a vinyl chloride resin with a specified flame retardant. CONSTITUTION: This material comprises a vinyl chloride resin containing a flame retardant comprising at least one of antimony oxide, zinc borate and zinc stannate and has a total light transmittance prescribed by JIS K 7105 of at least 15%. The flame retardant preferably has a mean particle diameter of at most 0.1μm or at least 3μm and is blended preferably in an amount of at least 2 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin. It is desirable to use a mixture of antimony oxide with zinc borate and/or zinc stannate preferably at a ratio of 1:(0.1 to 1) as the flame retardant. Excellent stainproofness can be imparted by joining a vinyl chloride resin skin of higher surface hardness to the surface of this film material.
