PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for obtaining a signal power as to lots of frequency points or conduction of high speed sampling. CONSTITUTION: A received signal is subject to orthogonal detection and the result is A/D-converted. The arrival of a burst signal is detected based on the result and after the signal is confirmed to be a non-modulation (CW) signal, a frequency offset estimate section 6 estimates a deviation of a local frequency with respect to a carrier frequency. In this case, an interval of points to obtain a signal power is gradually narrowed around a frequency point at which a maximum signal is obtained. When a BTR position detection section 7 detects the arrival of a bit timing recovery(BTR) signal, a BTR phase estimate section 8 detects a timing deviation in a receiver side clock with respect to a transmitter side clock. In this case, the result of two time sampling for one symbol period is utilized. |
