PURPOSE: To obtain a chewing-gum composition consisting of a gum base, flavor agent and pulverulent maltitol provided with a prescribed characteristic so as to be superior in taste, eating feeling and flavor. CONSTITUTION: The target chewing-gum composition consists of (A) preferably 15-70 wt.% gum base such as polyisopropylene or a polyvinyl acetic acid, etc., (B) preferably 0.8-1.5% flavor agent and (C) preferably 10-75% pulverulent maltitol having >=95% maltitol purity and with a particular distribution where >=50% of maltitol paraticles inside the composition have small size of <=90 microns. |
