PURPOSE: To provide a telecine camera apparatus with which the quantity of light made incident on an imaging device can be easily controlled. CONSTITUTION: Concerning this telecine camera apparatus, first and second deflection filters 2 and 4 and a 1/4λboard 6 are arranged inside an optical path and the quantity of light made incident is controlled by rotating one deflection filter. The incidental light is turned to straightly polarized light by the first deflection filter 2 and when the angle of the polarizing axis of first and second deflection filters 2 and 4 is defined asθ, the quantity of this transmitted light is changed in proportion to cost by the second deflection filter 4. Afterwards, the light is turned to circularly polarized light again by the 1/4λboard 6 and passes through a color resolving optical system to the imaging device.
