PURPOSE: To provide a musical tone modulating device which generates a sine wave of a very low frequency using a simple constitution without using a memory to store the sine wave. CONSTITUTION: A DSP is composed of a multiplier 12, shifter 14, address 15, 24, a full-wave rectifying means 16, temporary memory 18, coefficient register 10, micro-program register 20, address register 21, address controller 22, and selectors A11, B13, C19, D17. The data from the coefficient register 10 or an internal bus is supplied to the selector A11, and the pieces of data to be fed to the multiplier 12 and shifter 14 are selected in conformity to the select signal given by the micro-program register 20. This selection enables the desired calculation of linear multiplication, pseudo-exponent multiplication, and infinitesimal coefficient multiplication. |
