PURPOSE: To prevent generation of uneven abrasion caused by eccentricity of a photoreceptor when a flowing back waste toner affects a photoreceptor even if a cleaning apparatus is provided with a scarping and sending member in an image forming apparatus employing a contact charging member. CONSTITUTION: A toner remaining in an image carrying body 1 is scraped by a cleaning blade 3, dropped downward to a scooping sheet 4, and sent to a storage part 7 of a cleaning container 2 by a scraping and sending member 8. At that time, since a partitioning member 9 fixed in a partitioning plate 6 is constantly brought into contact with the scraping member 8, a waste toner does not flow back to a scraping part 10 even if the storage part 7 is filled with a waste toner, so that uneven scraping of a photoreceptor due to that abnormally large quantity of the waste toner is accumulated in the scraping part 10 does not occur. |
