PURPOSE: To continue communication by allowing a satellite communication slave equipment with lots of channels mounted thereto to select another communication channel for a common signaling channel transmission reception exclusive channel on the occurrence of a fault of the common control signal transmission reception exclusive channel. CONSTITUTION: A monitor changeover circuit 8 always monitors alarm signals 91 -9M respectively received from a common signaling channel(CSC) transmission reception exclusive channel 31 and other communication channels 32 -3M. Upon the receipt of a notice of the occurrence of a fault in the channel 31 by means of the signal 91 , a sound object among the channels 32 -3M selected to be a successor channel in place of the active channel 31 is selected based on a prescribed reference. Then the circuit 8 controls the current channel 31 based on a control signal 101 so as to disable CSC transmission reception operation and uses a control signal 102 to control a channel 32 being the object channel to be in operation in the CSC transmission reception exclusive channel mode. |
