FIELD: nuclear engineering. SUBSTANCE: in case of insufficient core cooling (most improbable failure of cooling and stand-by cooling devices), pressure-relief device operates depending on temperature. To this end, pressure tube passed through pressure tank wall inside tank with tight joint has at least one pressure-equalizing hole in interior of pressure tank which is packed with melting packing body. The latter is made of melting solder which melts at boundary temperature, such as 600- 700 C, and opens pressure-equalizing hole; under normal conditions, it keeps this hole closed. Pressure tube functions also as blasting tube provided with pressure-equalizing hole. However, it may also function as pressure-control tube to control blasting valve provided outside pressure tank and used to reduce system pressure.
