METAL-POROUS CATHODE AND METHOD FOR ITS MANUFACTURING

FIELD: electronic devices. SUBSTANCE: method of manufacturing face-type cathodes for kinescopes and cathode-ray tubes involves production of tube base from two equal halves each of which is generated by bending lugs which are designed on flat plate. One plate has group of halves of tube bases. Emitter is connected to halves of tube bases by means of fusing. EFFECT: simplified design, simplified manufacturing, decreased cost, possibility of mass production.
