FIELD: refrigerating engineering. SUBSTANCE: refrigerator is provided with heat-insulated duct separating the cold junctions of thermal battery from the refrigerating chamber. Located inside this heat- insulated duct is fan blowing the cold junctions of thermal battery. Inlet and outlet of heat-insulating duct are closed with automatic heat-insulating valves which are made in form of light foam plastic balls and freely hanging films. When fan and thermal battery are switched on, air flow opens heat-insulating valves, , thus cooling the content of refrigerating chamber. As soon as required temperature has been obtained inside refrigerating chamber, thermal battery and fan are switched off and heat-insulating valves automatically close inlet and outlet of heat-insulating duct preventing heat surrounding medium from entering the refrigerating chamber through thermal battery and fan components. Since thermal conductivity of thermal battery materials exceeds that of refrigerating chamber insulation by many times, thermal losses are reduced by several times, thus increasing the period between thermal battery switching-on cycles and consequently saving the electric power. Results of tests have demonstrated that more than 50 percent of electric power is saved by this refrigerator as compared with known refrigerators. EFFECT: enhanced economical efficiency and extended range of application in transport facilities. |
