FIELD: drilling muds. SUBSTANCE: powder nepheline-containing material is treated with an acid modifier - a strong 8-20% acid (sulfuric, nitric, hydrochloric acid, etc.) in quantity of 4-15 weight parts per 1 weight part of the nepheline-containing material. The latter may be a disintegrated nepheline ore such as waste tails or a normal nepheline concentrate being a waste from the apatite-nepheline ore enriching process. It can contain up to 82% nepheline, up to 12% feldspar, up to 4% aegirite, up to 3% hydromica, and up to 1% other ingredients. EFFECT: increased resistance to dilution with water and hydrosulfide damage. |
