PRINTED-CIRCUIT BOARD MANUFACTURING PROCESS

FIELD: electronic engineering. SUBSTANCE: mathematical description of photomask compiled in machine code is entered in computer. Electric signals corresponding to photomask pattern are picked off computer output and applied to printed attached to computer. In printer, signals are transformed into photomask pattern applied to paper sheet which is directly used as photomask; pattern on sheet is given mirror image with respect to printed-circuit board. When photomask pattern is transferred to printed-circuit board, it is aligned with light-sensing surface of printed-circuit board blank by surface of paper photomask carrying the pattern. EFFECT: reduced cost and facilitated manufacture.
