FIELD: electrical engineering; shipbuilding, fish fleet. SUBSTANCE: method involves elimination of overcurrent in excitation system of shipboard shaft generator driven by main engine operating into variable-pitch propeller and running at constant speed. Novelty is that as soon as signal indicating underspeed running of main engine arrives, part of loads whose total power is sufficient to reduce shaft generator power output to value safe for loading its excitation system component are disconnected with preset time delay and loads disconnected are chosen so that those connected could ensure safe navigation and serviceability of equipment specified by standards; the latter are grouped in at least two stages, each next stage being disconnected in case total power of preceding ones is insufficient to unload shaft generator to safe value. EFFECT: improved safety of navigation. |
