FIELD: mine surveying and geodesy, namely, methods and devices for topographic surveying of surfaces. SUBSTANCE: method for topographic surveying providing accurate and detailed topographic plan directly in site without intermediate procession of results is being performed without rod mounting upon setting stakes. Method involves steps of drawing relief without interpolating by stereoscopic motion of measuring mark along image of the Earth surface. Apparatus for performing the methods includes movable in polar three-dimensional coordinate system binocular optical system 5 with terminal reflectors 6, 7. Projecting rule 12 arranged in parallel with right sighting beam reduces to horizon measured inclined distance plotted on horizontal rule 8 and plotting board 1 with the aid of pencil attachment 10. Value equal to surpassing up to point being measured is fixed on height scale. As a result of rotation of left terminal reflector 7 with the aid of range finding projecting rule 14 rotated due to motion of pencil attachment 10 through system of levers 15, 16 stereoscopic distance measuring is realized.
