FIELD: automotive industry; layout of units and sets in passenger car, minibus and minitruck. SUBSTANCE: proposed design of small-size vehicle has two modules: body and engine unit. Engine unit has separate frame with rear axle and self-contained brake system, engine unit proper, fuel tank, storage battery and all necessary electrical equipment. Engine module is easily mounted under body bottom on longitudinal telescopic supports for extending from under body for servicing and repair. Engine unit of unified design mounted on special purpose automobiles can be adapted for use as independent transport means or stationary power unit, when disconnected from vehicle. Suspension of engine unit from body bottom on longitudinal telescopic supports makes is possible to change wheel base in operation, decreasing its radius of turning or facilitating transportation of long-cut loads on minitrucks with telescopic bodies. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. |
