The reinforcement uses a layer (5) which has a base with at least two folded edges (6) which extend from the corresp. edges on the base. They are arranged so that the base can be placed underneath the carton, and the edges can be aligned with, and glued to, corresp. side walls on the carton. The base may have a roughly rectangular shape, with two long and two short edges, of which the former may be the reinforcing edges. All four edges of a rectangular base may also have folds, in order to be used for reinforcement. |
