Pallet for static storage or transportation of rolling or mobile goods

The pallet has a surface which is at least partly made up of flat segments. The segments can be moved vertically, and the movement of an individual segment is largely independent of the movement of neighbouring segments. They are retained in their end positions, either through spring loading, or through the action of their own weight. The goods may be rested on segments which are in their lower end positions, and unloaded segments may be raised into their upper end positions, in order to block a rolling movement of the goods on the pallet. The segments may be joined to one another by horizontally pivoting coupling elements, in order to prevent point loadings against sensitive surfaces, such as vehicle tyres.
