The process includes the steps of; (a) reacting methyl hydrazine and carbon disulfide in aqueous solution containing sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide; (b) doing esterfication of the product with electrophilic compd. such as alkyl sulfate R2SO4(1) or alkyl haloide R-X(1) under nonpolar solvent such as methylene chloride, ethylene chloride, n-hexane, n-heptane or toluen and phase transition catalyst such as tetra butyl ammonium bromide.
