<p>A collapsible pinata frame (20) has a pair of planar main panels (22, 24) joined by connecting side panels (26). The side panels (26) are configured to fold inwardly between the main panels (22, 24) to allow the pinata frame to be collapsed substantially flat. In an expanded state, the side panels extend generally perpendicularly between the spaced main panels. Reinforcing flaps (54) are provided to brace and expand the pinata into the expanded state. The reinforcing flaps (54) are hinged attached to one of the main panels (22, 24) and are pulled outwardly by strings (30) to lie against the inner surface of the side panel (26). The collapsible pinata frame (20) is constructed of a single piece of cardboard. A collapsible pinata is constructed by covering a collapsible pinata frame (20) with colorful paper.</p> |
