The hub has an axis (6) and a hub body (2a) rotatably mounted on the axis (6). A dynamo (10) is arranged inside the hub body (92a). The dynamo (10) has a cylindrical magnet module (12) with north and south poles arranged alternately along an inner circumferential wall of the hub body (2a). Several dynamo coil units (11a, b, c) are arranged inside the magnet module (12) and along the axial direction of the hub axis. Each dynamo coil unit (11a, b, c) has a first core element and a second core elements arranged opposite each other along the axial direction of the hub axis and a current generating coil (14) between the first and second core elements. The current coil (14) runs coaxially to the hub axis. The first and second core elements have magnet poles arranged at spaced apart positions on the circumference of the elements. A pair of adjacent coil units is arranged such that the second core element of one unit is in contact with the first core element of the other. The magnet pole of the first core element of one dynamo unit and that of the second element of the other dynamo unit are arranged at corresponding positions on the circumference of the hub axis (6). The pole of the second core element of one dynamo unit and that of the first element of the other are arranged at corresponding positions along the circumference of the axis (6).
