摘要 Optical transceivers are used to transmit and receive the light signals used in fibre-optic comunications. The received and transmitted signals can be either of the same wavelength or of different wavelengths. A transceiver of this kind includes the following components: an optical fibre, a transmitter, a receiver and coupling optics between the transmitter and the receiver. The prior art already includes transceivers in which the individual components are mounted on mountings with reflecting surfaces and with V-shaped grooves and recesses, produced by anisotropic etching, in which the components are fitted. The design of such transceivers can be considerably simplified by mounting the optically active components on one side of a single mounting. Proposed is a transceiver with a transmitter (3), a receiver (33) and a monitor diode (8) which are mounted on one side of a first mounting (1). An optical fibre (40) is disposed at right angles to this side of the mounting (1). Disposed between the optical fibre (40) and the first mounting (1) as another mounting (20) which is transparent to light of the wavelength being transmitted and has at least two reflection surfaces (24, 29) on opposite sides of the mounting (20). The reflection surfaces are disposed in such a way that light from the optical fibre is reflected at both surfaces before it reaches the receiver. The first mounting (1) also has a reflection surface (11) at which light from the transmitter (3) is reflected, this light then being incident on the second mounting through which it passes and is fed into the optical fibre (40).
