<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform sound field correction by detecting the position of a speaker two-dimensionally or three-dimensionally. <P>SOLUTION: The sound system comprises a section 25 generating a first measurement signal, a section 26 for transmitting a second measurement signal simultaneously with generation of the first measurement signal, and a section 28 arranged at a viewing/listening position and calculating the difference between the receiving time of the second measurement signal and the receiving time of a sound wave for measurement radiated from a speaker to be detected based on sensors 1-1 and 1-2 and the measured time difference, calculating the distance between n sensors and the speaker to be detected for each of the n sensors and calculating the position of the speaker to be detected based on the distances between n sensors and the calculated distance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
