<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail order selling device and a mail order selling method which make it easier to manage the delivery of articles. <P>SOLUTION: The main order selling device comprises an order receiving part 44 which collects, from purchasers' terminals 5, ordered article information for identifying an ordered article 18 and delivery destination information for identifying a destination for delivering the ordered article 18, and an IC tag writing part 45 which writes the ordered article information and delivery destination information into an article IC tag 19 attached to the ordered article 18 in the delivery of the article 18 using an IC tag writer 8. The article IC tag 19, upon reception of an article question electric wave, outputs an article response electric wave which indicates the ordered article information and delivery destination information using the power to be converted from the article question electric wave.
