There are separate components for positive wing connection to the remaining aircraft part. The components, wings, and rest of the aircraft have spring-loaded connections. Pref. the spring-loaded coupling is carried out by struts of telescopic type, contg. inside a known spring and damping element. The support struts are typically rigid, but abut one or more springs and dampers on the fuselage. Alternatively the struts may be integral and are made of resilient material such as steel or fibre reinforced plastics.
