Noise damping tube, esp. for air induction tract of internal combustion engine

The damping tube contains at least one element (3) which varies its internal dia. (2). The inner surface of the tube has at least one swelling body (3) which varies in volume. The inner tube surface has at least two opposing movable elements. The variable volume swelling body has supporting inserts, esp. of foam, and communicates with the suction system and/or the control electrics of the engine. It can have an underpressure connection (5) and the volume variation can be caused by an underpressure. The volume can be varied depending on the volume flow.
