Ground compacting by cutter arm with tools on endless cutter chain

A compacting machine has a cutter arm (4), on which are fitted cutters (13) on an endless chain (12), which are driven in a circulating manner. A feed line (61) supplies a ground compacting agent into the region of the circulating cutters. It is mixed with the cut soil such that the mixt. remains behind the cutter arm. The compacting agent is inserted in the region of the cutter arm lower half, or into the arm lower section, into the space bounded by the circulating cutters. Pref. a liq. or pasty compacting agent is used to form a dense mixt.
