The fuel injection device atomisation grid (32) has an atomising structure (36) which has at least partial cross-sectional variations in an axial direction. The structure contains through flow areas (38) with cross-sectional surfaces running crossways to the valve longitudinal axis (2). The cross-sectional surfaces at least partly alter in an axial direction. The atomisation structure in an axial direction has at least partly a triangular cross-section. It is formed with an even surface running vertically to the valve longitudinal axis and facing the valve closure body (7), having limiting atomisation edges. A triangular point is turned away from the valve closure body.
