Baby bottle heated by induction

摘要

The hollow cylindrical body (1) pref. of transparent plastic (e.g. polycarbonate) has a flat base (2) lined with a ferromagnetic plate (3) of e.g. ferrite stainless steel between inner and outer walls (4,5) welded together e.g. by ultrasound at an annular shoulder (L) around the body at some distance above the base. The plate contains small holes through which studs protrude from the outer wall into welded contact with the inner wall. Advantageously it has low thermal inertia and a Curie temp. of about 40 deg.C, and is heated rapidly when the bottle is placed on an induction plate wired to a high-frequency generator.
