PURPOSE: To surely deliver emergency contact information to any area by extracting and displaying character information from a received medium wave. CONSTITUTION: A reception circuit 10 applies amplification and video demodulation processing to a radio wave such as television radio wave received by an antenna A to provide an image signal. A character information extract circuit 11 extracts a telop signal relating to a character included in the image signal. When received area information is included in the telop signal, a matching circuit 12 outputs the received telop signal. A LED drive circuit 13 applies lighting control to a LED of a display panel 3 corresponding to the received telop signal to allow the LED to display the same content as the telop signal. An alarm light drive circuit 14 turns and lights up an alarm light 4 and an alarm drive circuit 16 allows a speaker 17 to raise a prescribed alarm tone thereby informing the occurrence of emergency. Thus, the occurrence of tidal wave is informed to persons apart from houses for sure emergency contact. |
