<p>PURPOSE: To mount a step with high design strength and good appearance on a gate for truck in such a manner as to be openable and closable. CONSTITUTION: This device has a gate 3 connected to a load-carrying platform through a hinge in such a manner as to be raised and fallen; a hinge metal fitting 20 fixed to a recessed part formed on the load-carrying platform-side side surface of the gate laid in the raised state; a brace metal fitting 40 one end of which is pivotally supported by the lower part of the hinge metal fitting in such a manner as to be rotatable; and a step metal fitting 30 having an elliptic hole 38 for inserting a through-bolt 48 for connecting the brace metal fitting 40, the elliptic hole being formed near a handle part. The step metal fitting 30 is supported in two points by the locking part A with the hinge metal fitting 2O and the connecting part B with the brace metal fitting 30 in the extended state. Since the step metal fitting 30 is thus supported in two points, it has a strength sufficiently resistant to the added load, and the step metal fitting 30 is never excessively opened.</p> |
