A method and a system for processing a circuit data call by using call relay in a mobile communication system are provided to enable a mobile switching center to determine whether FR/PRI resources of a local station are available when a called party number of ISUP_IAM(Identity and Access Management) received from a relay station and a destination station is an IWF data call routing number, process an IWF data call when the FR/PRI resources of the local station are available, and relay the IWF data call to a route registered in the IWF data call routing number by using an ISUP when the FR/FRI resources of the local station are not available, thereby improving efficient utilization and stability of network resources of the other relay station as well as network resources of a local station. A mobile communication system for processing a circuit data call by using call relay comprises the followings: an origination mobile switching center(140) which receives an originating signal from an origination wireless station(120), determines whether frame relay/primary rate interface(FR/PRI) resources of a local station are available when the received originating signal is an IWF(Inter-Working Function) data originating signal or processes the IWF data originating signal when the FR/PRI resources of the local station are available according to a setting state of an operator, and relays the IWF data originating signal to a route registered in a routing number of the IWF data originating signal by using an ISUP(ISDN(Integrated Services Digital Network) User Part) when the FR/PRI resources of the local station are not available; a termination mobile switching center(160) which recognizes an incoming wireless data signal while incoming signals are processed, determines whether FR/PRI resources of the local station are available when the incoming signal is an IWF data incoming signal or processes the IWF data incoming signal when the FR/PRI resources of the local station are available according to the setting state of the operator, and relays the IWF data incoming signal to the route registered in the routing number of the IWF data incoming signal by using the ISUP when the FR/PRI resources of the local station are not available; and an IWF mobile switching center(150) which connects the IWF data originating signal relayed and inputted in the ISUP to the IWF by using the FR resources, and connects the IWF data incoming signal relayed and inputted in the ISUP to the IWF by using the FR and PRI resources.
