PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing a long cylindrical or columnar ceramics by connecting two or more short ceramics by the connecting strength equivalent to the strength of the original ceramics. CONSTITUTION: This method for manufacturing a long cylindrical or columnar ceramics comprises the steps of engaging a ringlike molded form 2 having lower density than those of two or more cylindrical or columnar molded forms 1 with the outside of butted ends of the forms 1, then burning it, and connecting the forms.
