PURPOSE: To provide a battery-residual-capacity display device whose convenience is enhanced by eliminating a waste of time by a method wherein, immediately after a main switch has been closed, a residual capacity is displayed in such a way that it is a quantity which must be charged even if a running operation can be performed. CONSTITUTION: A battery-residual-capacity display device 10 is provided with a main switch 12 which connects a battery B to a load L or which opens them, with a means 14 which detects the residual capacity Wb of the battery B and with a means 16 which displays the detected residual capacity Wb. The residual- capacity display means 16 displays a state that, immediately after the main switch 12 has been closed, the residual capacity Wb is a quantity which must be charged even if a running operation can be performed. Thereby, it is possible to avoid a situation that, immediately after a running operation has been started, a vehicle turns back so as to perform a charging operation, a waste of time can be eliminated, and the convenience of the battery-residual-capacity display device can be enhanced. |
