<p>PURPOSE: To provide a drum-type cable engine by which the constant tension of a cable can be controlled automatically even when a holdback gear is moved to the right and left directions by a method wherein a right-and-left movable stand is installed, a front-and-rear movable stand is installed on it, one pair of several upper and lower tires which are arranged tandem are installed and a constant-tension feedback control operation is performed. CONSTITUTION: A cable 02 is driven by tires 6 so as to be brought into pressure contact, back tension or tension is generated in the cable 02, and a holdback gear 2 acts in a direction in which it is drawn close to the side, of a drum 01. Then, a right- and-left movable stand 3 draws a front-and-rear movable stand 4 close to the side of the drum 01, and the magnitude of its tension can be measured by a tension detector 7. On the basis of the signal of the tension detector 7 a constant-tension feedback control operation is performed, and the automatic constant-tension control operation of the cable 02 can be performed even when the holdback gear is moved to the right and left directions. As a result, a drum-type cable engine can be compensated automatically with reference to a disturbance, and the operability and the labor-saving property of a cable laying operation and of a cable pulling-up operation are enhanced.</p> |
