PURPOSE: To insert a space or the like by a simple processing and operation with respect to the inter-character insertion method and device by which a specific character like a space is inserted between characters of a 2nd character string at the time of converting a 1st arbitrary character string into the 2nd character string. CONSTITUTION: A character conversion processing means 2 which converts the character string inputted by an input means 1 into the 2nd character string and outputs the 2nd character string as an unsettled character string subjected to the conversion operation at present, an inter-character insertion indicating means 3 which gives instruction for insertion of a specific character between characters of the unsettled character string, an insertion instruction effectiveness judging means 4 which judges whether the inter-character insertion instruction from the inter-character insertion instruction means is effective or not in accordance with the state of the unsettled character string, and an unsettled character string processing means 5 which inserts the specific character between characters of the unsettled character string based on the inter-character insertion instruction to obtain the 2nd settled character string in the case of the effective inter-character insertion instruction are provided. These means are successively operated to execute the method for insertion between characters. |
