PURPOSE: To enhance recording sensitivity and the storage stability of a background part and an image part by using a specific salicylic acid derivative or a metal salt thereof as a coupler and adding an emulsion of stearamide to a recording layer. CONSTITUTION: A thermal recording layer using a fluorane type dye as a leuco dye and at least one kind of a salicylic acid derivative represented by formula (wherein X1 and X2 are a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aralkyl group, an aryl group or a halogen atom and R is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aralkyl group or an aryl group) or a metal salt thereof as a coupler is provided on a support and an emulsion of stearamide is added to the recording layer. |
