A local information data service method in a mobile terminal is provided to enable the user of a mobile terminal not having a location tracking function to use data services more rapidly at a low price by allowing the mobile terminal to directly access essential information, confirm the contents, and immediately download a necessary coupon. In case a user pays for a subway/bus fare by using his/her mobile terminal(S101), a subway/bus charging terminal transmits its own ID information and IMEI(International Mobile Equipment Identity) information of the mobile terminal to a local information contents server through a base station system. The local information contents server grasps location of the mobile terminal and travel path of the mobile terminal, based on ID information of the subway/bus charging terminal, and creates the local information associated with location of the mobile terminal(S103). The created local information is transmitted to the mobile terminal by using an IP push method(S104). The mobile terminal stores the transmitted local information in a FIFO method(S105). Afterwards, if the user selects a desired local information item to obtain detailed local information and makes a charging request, the charging request information is transmitted to a charging system(S106,S107). The charging system approves the user's charging request, and transmits an approval response message to the mobile terminal together with an ISK(Information Security Key)(S108).
