METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING FOREST FIRE

A forest fire monitoring method and system are provided to exactly detect a forest fire and to quickly cope with a forest fire by informing a manager's terminal of the forest fire. A forest fire monitoring and informing method is composed of steps of: storing sensing information transmitted from a sensor unit and image data received from an image obtaining unit through the wire or wireless network(610); judging whether the present time corresponds to a pre-set daytime range or not; determining that a forest fire breaks out if a grey region of the image data analyzed through RGB(Red,Green,Blue) analysis algorisms is over a predetermined critical regional area, when the present time corresponds to a pre-set daytime range and determining that a forest fire occurs if an ignition region of the image data analyzed through HSV(Hue Saturation Value) analysis algorisms is over a predetermined critical regional area, when the present time does not correspond to a pre-set daytime range; and generating emergency information by using the sensing information and transmitting the emergency information to a predetermined receiving terminal(625,630).
