PURPOSE: To make a color copy output easy to be seen by noticing the outside of a black edge, in particular, and performing an emphasis processing for an image to be copied. CONSTITUTION: The R, G and B data read by a scanner 2 from an original 1 is converted into the complementary color data composed of C, M and Y in a complementary color invertion processing circuit 3. This complementary color data is transmitted to a black edge processing circuit 4 and a black edge detection circuit 10. In the black edge detection circuit 10, the outside of a black edge is detected. According to this detection, the black edge processing circuit 4 is made into a thick line. The output of this black edge processing circuit 4 becomes a copy output 9 via a gradation correction circuit 6, a halftone processing circuit 7 and a printer 8. |
