PURPOSE: To provide a method for immobilizing and utilizing carbon dioxide obtained from an in expensive raw material. CONSTITUTION: This method for immobilizing and utilizing carbon dioxide comprises reacting carbon dioxide with water in the presence of a catalyst comprising platinum at a high temperature and at a high pressure, and subsequently cooling the produced methanol-oxygen mixture to separate the former and the latter as a liquid and a gas, respectively, from each other. |
